Elmhurst Academy collaboration

I was invited to develop a series of bespoke prints for a live collaborative project between Elmhurst Ballet School and Birmingham City University Fashion and Costume Design students. The collection drew inspiration from Shakespearean plays, with prints designed to complement the expressive movement of the dancers. The resulting garments were performed as part of A La Mode at the Shaw Theatre in London. The prints were based on a sequence of paintings exploring urban decay and the surfaces of the city, adapted to move and evolve with the performers on stage.
